The Wolfpack of Hill House Passport Academy Charter School Now Accepting Enrollments for 2019-2020 School Year

PITTSBURGH–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Hill
House Passport Academy Charter School
 (HHPACS) is looking for
students to become part of the Wolfpack family! HHPACS is a tuition-free
public high school for students under 21 years old who have been unable
to graduate. HHPACS offers a blended learning environment that allows
students to graduate with a high school diploma, giving them a new
opportunity to achieve academic success, and is now welcoming students
to enroll for the 2019-2020 school year.

HHPACS combines online coursework with traditional classroom work taught
by highly skilled state-certified teachers. The faculty and staff
provide a unique and personalized learning experience for each student.

“Hill House Passport Academy is proud to offer our students a pathway to
get their education back on track,” said Principal Bo Jackson.
“Curriculum can be adapted to their schedule, their situation, and their
life, allowing greater opportunities for their future. We are offering
them those extra chances they need to get their high school diploma –
something that they previously never thought was possible.”

HHPACS’s blend of online and face-to-face instruction allows students to
work towards high school graduation, while balancing other demands such
as jobs, internships, and family responsibilities. In a unique learning
model, students are required to attend daily, 3-hour class sessions at
the school’s Pittsburgh campus and complete two and a half hours of
daily online independent study. The school also offers free lunch or
breakfast to all enrolled students.

Principal Jackson stresses that “each student is treated as an
individual and instructed at a pace that provides confidence and
progression at their own learning level.”

In addition to the curriculum, students are provided with numerous
resources and staff support, including a special education department, a
certified school psychologist, career and college counseling, mentoring,
social service referrals, personal finance counseling, internships, and
social opportunities.

HHPACS gives students the opportunity to pursue their academic goals in
a supportive environment and at an appropriate pace for their learning
style. Students who are age appropriate may also participate in
after-school activities including athletics, dance, and cheer.

HHPACS is accepting enrollment applications for the 2019-2020 school
year for students who are under 21 years of age and have previously
withdrawn from high school. While first preference in enrollment is
given to students residing in Pittsburgh, all Pennsylvania students
under age 21 who qualify for high school and are able to attend the
required in-person sessions in Pittsburgh are eligible for admission.
