Timing is everything for fleets to take full advantage of funds
States are set to receive $2.925 billion in national environmental settlement funds from the Volkswagen diesel emissions scandal, and many are working to identify their priorities for emission-reducing transportation projects. More and more states are proactively seeking stakeholder feedback to inform how they will use the Environmental Mitigation Trust funds to upgrade or replace older, higher-polluting diesel engines in vehicles and equipment.
