Weigh station bypass service provider PrePass and toll management services company Bestpass have partnered to offer a new integrated weigh station and toll management solution.

The agreement provides Bestpass customers a single transponder for bypassing weigh stations and toll payments. Bestpass customers can now enroll their Bestpass transponders into PrePass weigh station bypass system, reducing the need for multiple devices.

“This exclusive agreement between PrePass and Bestpass is about fulfilling part of the mission set out by Bestpass' parent, the Trucking Association of New York, to make tolling the most manageable it can be, in this case by limiting the number of transponders in a vehicle,” said John Andrews, Bestpass president and CEO.

This new cooperative agreement between PrePass and Bestpass is possible because both services use similar transponders. The transponders use radio frequency identification (RFID) technology. Electronic toll payments only work with transponders today, because cellular-based mobile app signals can be interrupted or unavailable.

“Using weigh station bypass services saves an average of $8.68 and five minutes each time a truck bypasses a truck weigh station, according to a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration study,” said Mark Doughty vice president and chief operating officer of HELP Inc. “With this new offering, Bestpass customers can save even more in addition to the toll discounts and time savings they are currently receiving.”

Penray Kit Restores Headlight Covers

Penray's Headlight Restoration Kit 8405 is a two-step treatment to return a clear finish to headlight covers that have developed fading, yellowing, or glazing.

The kit includes two steps for restoration, prep and protect. Penray's Lens Prep lotion wipes away dirt and grime from headlight covers with a brief side to side wiping action. The preparation ends with wiping the prep material off with an alcohol wipe which is supplied in the kit.

The Protect step consists of two spray coats of Penray's lens coating across each headlight lens. After spraying, wipe off any overspray and it's done. Lense will look clear and be protected by the protectant, which bonds to the lens.

There is no requirement for sanding, special tools or the use of ultraviolet lighting. Penray's Headlight Restoration Kit 8405 is effective on all modern polycarbonate and plastic headlights and headlight covers. Each kit restores two headlights, and the product is covered by a one-year warranty.

Wall Street 'risk off' selling has barely begun: NYSE trader

Yahoo Finance's Alexis Christoforous is joined by Keith Bliss of Cuttone and Co. to discuss the Trump-Comey crisis. Keith points out that despite stocks and Treasury yields being down significantly on the day the scandal broke, we haven't yet seen a lot of conviction as evidenced by volume. In other words, a lot of investors are sitting on the sidelines right now riding out the initial firestorm. If they decide to sell as evidence of a felony grows, stocks will trade much lower, and the "safety trade" will ignite.
