ioXt Momentum Continues with Washington, D.C. Event

IoT security alliance making rapid progress to bring certified products to consumers

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–lt;a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/5G?src=hash" target="_blank"gt;#5Glt;/agt;–IoXt, the preeminent IoT security alliance of leading consumer product manufacturers, standards groups, compliance labs and government organizations, continues to grow its size and influence. The Alliance enjoyed a larger turnout at its latest meeting, held Thursday, April 11 at Union Station’s Presidential Suite in Washington, D.C., which continued the public policy discussion and marked the kickoff of ioXt’s compliance effort.

The agenda included a discussion of public policy for IoT security, such as the current state of affairs, near-term policy changes, and how industry and government can work together to set responsible policies. Guest speakers were Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Communications and Information David Redl and Senior Technology Policy Advisor Henry Young, both of the U.S. Department of Commerce, and John Costello, Director of Strategy, Policy and Plans for the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency at the Department of Homeland Security. Alliance members also discussed the progress of ioXt’s compliance program and the time table for announcing compliant products at CES 2020.
