Excella Awarded Analytics Contract to Help USCIS Identify Fraud

Cutting edge data analytics and DevOps services will support the
agency’s IT system delivery and better identify immigration fraud.

ARLINGTON, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Excella,
a pioneer in Agile technology solutions in the D.C. area, today
announced a $49.5 million contract award to support the United States
Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) Fraud Detection and National
Security Directorate. The Risk and Fraud Analytics and
Development, Security and Operations (DevSecOps) (RFAD) project is a
three-year engagement that will leverage advance data and analytics,
Agile and DevSecOps to identify and mitigate immigration fraud.

The Excella team will provide data science expertise, along with machine
learning algorithms, natural language processing and DevSecOps processes
to support RFAD. The program will use a Continuous
Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) approach to adopt cutting-edge
best practices for USCIS Information Technology (IT) delivery. Excella’s
experts will provide data analytics capacity and the ability to perform
fraud detection, monitoring and compliance, and fix data by leveraging
new tools in a Big Data Analytics Platform for USCIS.

Building on their experience providing Agile engineering, DevSecOps, and
open source tools Excella has a growing track record of delivering
successful solutions for federal partners including: U.S. Department of
Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Census Bureau, the Consumer Financial
Protection Bureau (CFPB), and the U.S. Department of Health and Human
Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG). The Excella team was
also recently awarded a prime spot on the $300M DHS Services for
Enabling Agile Delivery (SEAD) Blanket Purchase Agreement this summer.
