Boeing Execs Respond To Leaked Messages As Congress Watches Closely

The anti-stall system in the now-grounded 737 MAX planes was “running rampant” during flight simulation tests, Boeing’s former chief technical pilot Mark Forkner said in recently uncovered internal messages. Boeing said in a Sunday statement that it understands the “scrutiny this matter is receiving” and will continue working with investigators and an ongoing investigation by the U.S. Congress. Boeing said it has not spoken with Forkner directly, but said the simulator software at that time was “still undergoing testing and qualification and had not been finalized,” according to Reuters.
