Qualcomm Inc on Monday urged Broadcom Ltd to enter into price negotiations for the first time on Broadcom's $117 billion offer for the company, a potential step toward a deal between the two chipmakers after almost four months of disagreement. Qualcomm said on Monday that all of Broadcom's previous offers - which would represent the largest technology deal on record - materially undervalued it, but proposed that the two companies discuss price and look more closely at the other's books. The proposal came after a second meeting between the companies on Friday, and a week before Qualcomm shareholders are scheduled to vote on the make-up of its board.
