TransPerfect Announces Record First Quarter Results for 2019
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–TransPerfect, the world’s largest provider of language and technology solutions for global business, announced today that billed revenue for the first quarter of 2019 topped $166 million, representing an 8.2% increase over $154 million for the same period in 2018.
Strong sales of the company’s flagship technology platform, the GlobalLink Product Suite, contributed heavily to the quarter’s success with 169 new enterprise deployments and a 48% increase in unit sales.
In addition to the gains in sales and technology metrics, new offices were announced in Tampa, Hartford, and Lisbon, extending the company’s global footprint of over 100 locations worldwide. TransPerfect was also active in M&A during the quarter, welcoming Barcelona-based Propulse Video to its family of companies. Propulse is a media house that specializes in video content, including corporate explainer videos.
TransPerfect President and CEO Phil Shawe said, “TransPerfect’s performance in the first quarter is a testament to our people and their dedication to our clients. We were fortunate to complete 26 years of consecutive growth in 2018, and I can’t thank the team enough for carrying that momentum into 2019.”
