A Credit Suisse fund is selling several Swiss properties "at a slight discount," including an egg-shaped hotel in Davos that has hosted U.S. President Donald Trump and U2 singer Bono during past World Economic Forum (WEF) events. Swiss hotel and hospital operator Aevis Victoria, whose holdings include the Victoria Jungfrau in Interlaken, said on Wednesday it has entered into an agreement with Credit Suisse Real Estate Fund Hospitality to acquire eight hotel properties with 640 rooms....
Activist hedge fund Elliott tried again to squeeze a higher offer from France's Capgemini for rival Altran, saying why it thought the offer undervalued the company in which the fund manager holds a stake. Elliott has built up a stake of just over 10% in Altran through equity derivatives. It has already said it thought software consultancy Capgemini's 14 euro per share, or 3.6 billion-euro ($4 billion) bid for rival Altran, was too low....

Budget airline Norwegian Air is ending flights from Copenhagen and Stockholm to the United States and Thailand due to weak demand and technical problems affecting the engines on its Boeing 787 Dreamliners, it said on Wednesday. Flights between Oslo and the United States would continue, while routes between Norway and Thailand were under review, it said, the latest initiative to cut costs and restore profits after rapid expansion left the carrier weighed down by debt.
