">RealWheels' Twist & Lock Aero Covers with Windows are now available as an option on Peterbilt's Model 579 tractors.
The Twist & Lock Aero Covers maintain clear windows to view the wheel and wheel-end components while improving vehicle aerodynamics and increasing fuel efficiency. The design also allows for faster installation and removal without the use of tools. The Aero Covers are offered in a standard mirror-finished stainless steel for enhanced exterior appearance.
RealWheels' designs are engineered to reduce drag by closing off the deep well cavity of the wheel. SmartWay J1321 testing has shown a fuel cost savings of 1% to 2%, according to RealWheels.
The Twist & Lock mounting system features a large diameter, spring-loaded top plate that provides quick and secure cover mounting. The bracket was designed to work on all trucks and trailers with 22.5- or 24.5-inch dual or wide base wheels.

STS Truck Services was recognized as the 2016 HDA Truck Pride Truck Service Expert of the Year at the organization's annual Membership meeting in Orlando.
To win the award, a company must excel in a number of categories. It must support the HDA Truck Pride Truck Service Experts brand in their marketplace. The company must also demonstrate technical expertise, institution ethical practices, and creating an environment of constant improvement. Lastly, its facilities must be clean and well maintained with up-to-date diagnostics and equipment.
STS Vice President Chad Adams was on hand with Service Manager Bob Harper to accept the award.
“Constant improvement and technical expertise are extremely important categories of distinction when navigating sustainable growth,” said Tom Tecklenburg, COO of HDA Truck Pride. “Bob and Chad have focused on these areas in their business and believe in continuous improvement and ongoing training for their entire team.”
STS Truck Services began as a freight transport company in 2005, eventually expanding its services to include heavy duty repair, brokerage, and 24/7 roadside assistance. The company has expanded since then and offers repair services for outside customers. Today, STS has two locations with the HDA Truck Pride Service Expert designation in Blair, Neb., and Oskaloosa, Iowa.
“We participated in the HDA Truck Pride Regional Heavy Duty Shop Efficiency training to enhance our business and strengthen our bottom line,” said Adams. “We invest in training opportunities to enable our employees to find better ways to service our customers.”
