Ingram Micro Announces 2018 Recipient of Prestigious Martha Ingram Award
Associate Patrick Smith honored with annual company award
BUFFALO, N.Y.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–lt;a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Award?src=hash" target="_blank"gt;#Awardlt;/agt;–Ingram Micro Inc. today announced associate and philanthropist Patrick Smith, one of the industry leader’s technology consultants based in Buffalo, has been named the recipient of Ingram Micro’s global 2018 Martha Ingram Leadership Award.
The Martha Ingram Leadership Award recognizes outstanding leadership and dedication to philanthropic service, and is the most prestigious individual honor an Ingram Micro associate can receive. The annual award celebrates company founder, Martha Ingram’s legacy as an outstanding business leader and community philanthropist by recognizing associates and teams who exemplify leadership, commitment, and integrity and trust, as well as those who support the company’s philanthropic activities and/or contribute to local communities outside the company.

With over 30 years of IT experience and 21 years at Ingram Micro, Smith channels his passion for technology and cybersecurity into his volunteer work for the Western New York community and abroad. Outside the office, Smith actively leads and participates in several local charitable endeavors, including conducting free cyber-safety workshops dedicated to teaching children and parents how to be smart and safe online. To date, Smith has presented his message of Online Safety to over 2,500 children and adults within the Western New York area and Puerto Rico.
Smith’s outside philanthropic efforts have contributed significantly to Ingram Micro securing the McAfee Community Service Leader Award from security partner, McAfee for the past four consecutive years. Additionally, Smith has been asked to speak about his workshops at the McAfee Technical Forum.
