ACT: July used Class 8 truck volumes down
Used Class 8 truck same dealer sales volumes fell in July, posting an 8% m/m drop, following a double-digit m/m increase in June, according to the latest release of the State of the Industry: U.S. Classes 3-8 Used Trucks, published by ACT Research. Additionally, the report noted that sales were down year-over-year and year-to-date by a similar amount.

Mark Robinson joins Truckstop.com as CFO
Truckstop.com has announced that Mark Robinson has joined its leadership team as the company's new chief financial officer.
Robinson comes to the company from Saba, which was acquired by Vector Capital and is a publicly-traded, multinational talent management cloud solution provider with more than 700 employees in the San Francisco Bay area.

Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) announced that it has been selected to receive a $20 million award from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for the SuperTruck II program. Diesel climbs nearly 4 cents this week
The end of calendar summer is bringing an end to the summer-long decline in diesel prices, with fuel jumping for the second consecutive week.
The average U.S. retail pump price for diesel climbed 3.9 cents in the Aug. 29 report by the Energy Information Administration (EIA), to $2.409 per gallon. That's a fraction of penny higher than the price was June 6 before fuel costs began a nine week decline. Still, diesel's 32 cents a gallon cheaper than this time last year.
