ACT: July used Class 8 truck volumes down
Used Class 8 truck same dealer sales volumes fell in July, posting an 8% m/m drop, following a double-digit m/m increase in June, according to the latest release of the State of the Industry: U.S. Classes 3-8 Used Trucks, published by ACT Research. Additionally, the report noted that sales were down year-over-year and year-to-date by a similar amount.

Mark Robinson joins Truckstop.com as CFO
Truckstop.com has announced that Mark Robinson has joined its leadership team as the company's new chief financial officer.
Robinson comes to the company from Saba, which was acquired by Vector Capital and is a publicly-traded, multinational talent management cloud solution provider with more than 700 employees in the San Francisco Bay area.

Daimler to participate in SuperTruck II initiative
Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) announced that it has been selected to receive a $20 million award from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for the SuperTruck II program. The new award is part of a multimillion dollar, multi-year program to increase the fuel economy of medium- and heavy-duty vehicles while decreasing carbon pollution.
