CBS board to discuss CEO Moonves investigation on Monday: sources

The allegations come as Moonves is embroiled in a legal battle over control of CBS with the company's largest shareholder, National Amusements Inc, owned by Shari Redstone and her father Sumner, who also control media company Viacom Inc. CBS said on Friday it would investigate accusations against Moonves, 68, made by six women in a New Yorker magazine article featuring several instances of alleged sexual harassment spanning 1985 to 2006.

Caterpillar raises 2018 profit outlook, beats quarterly estimates

Caterpillar Inc (CAT.N) on Monday raised its full-year profit outlook after earnings in the second quarter nearly doubled, beating market expectations, helped by global demand for its equipment. The Deerfield, Illinois-based company now expects adjusted profit per share to be in a range of $11 to $12 in 2018, compared with $10.25 to $11.25 projected earlier. The second increase to the profit outlook in the past two quarters helped allay investors' concerns about the health of the global economy amid increasing trade frictions and pressure on costs.

Harley pushes deeper into Asia with smaller bikes to kickstart growth

The 115-year-old Milwaukee, Wisconsin-based company, known for its heavy touring motorcycles, is scrambling to revamp its operations by tapping into younger buyers, particularly in Asia, by offering nimbler motorcycles with smaller engines. Laying out a plan it calls "More Roads to Harley-Davidson", the company said it expects to spend $675 million-$825 million over the next four years as it also looks to chop costs and generate more than $1 billion of incremental annual revenue in 2022. Harley will develop more accessible motorcycles with smaller engines of between 250cc and 500cc for Asia, including India, which the company said was one of its fastest growing markets in the world.
