U.S. security panel deals major blow to Broadcom's bid for Qualcomm

The Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), which reviews deals for potential national security concerns, does not typically review mergers before companies have clinched an agreement. CFIUS asked Qualcomm to postpone its shareholder meeting, that had been scheduled for Tuesday, by 30 days. Reuters had reported last week that CFIUS had begun looking at Broadcom's bid amid growing pressure from politicians, including senior Republican Senator John Cornyn.

Jon Romano, a school shooter now serving a 20-year sentence, wrote a letter to a local paper about the incident. In 2004, Jon Romano walked into his upstate-New York high school with a shotgun and opened fire. The then-16-year-old shot a teacher while being tackled by Columbia High School assistant principal John Sawchuk.

Amazon mulling checking-account like product with big banks: WSJ

Shares of U.S. big banks came under pressure in early trading on Monday from broader selloff in the market and the WSJ report, Adam Sarhan, CEO of 50 Park Investments said. "Whenever you see a headline show up Amazon coming in and offering checking accounts with JPMorgan that triggers investors to sell first in the face of uncertainty and ask questions later," he said. In January, Amazon.com, Berkshire Hathaway Inc and JPMorgan said they will form a company to cut health costs for hundreds of thousands of their employees.

The system in use across Penske's expansive network of truck fleet maintenance facilities in North America taps into a robust, high-speed Aruba indoor and outdoor gigabit Wi-Fi network, uses rugged mobile tablet devices for maintenance technicians, and supplemented with an innovative voice-directed preventive maintenance system.

Penske Truck Leasing, Honeywell Safety and Productivity Solutions, and Vitech collaborated on the design of a voice-directed preventive maintenance system that leverages a fully customized version of Honeywell's Voice Maintenance & Inspection (M&I) solution. Vitech supported Penske's world-class project team as they implemented the solution for hundreds of locations and thousands of users. Vitech continues to support the solution and provide enhancements to further drive value from voice.
