Independence Bank and Mountain America Credit Union Join ACH Alert at PAYMENTS 2019 to Share Insight on Transaction Security

Panelists to discuss how to enhance fraud prevention by empowering account holders to detect and respond to suspicious activity before funds ever leave their account

OOLTEWAH, Tenn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ACH Alert, an award-winning provider of electronic payments fraud prevention technology for financial institutions of all sizes, announced it will lead a panel to discuss cybersecurity and risk at PAYMENTS 2019 in Orlando, Florida on May 8.

During ACH Alert’s panel, “Going Beyond Visibility and Taking Action on Transactions,” panelists will discuss how financial institutions can enhance their fraud prevention strategy by empowering customers to detect and respond to suspicious activity before the funds leave their account. Additionally, session attendees will learn how to leverage digital banking offerings to enable fraud prevention tools. Finally, panelists will discuss how enabling account holders to control fraud prevention improves the customer experience and supports more efficient growth.

Panelists include:

  • Kim Dodson, CTP, Vice President of Treasury Management, Independence Bank
  • Don Youngberg, AAP, Assistant Vice President of Business Services, Mountain America Credit Union
  • Deborah Peace, AAP, Chief Executive Officer, ACH Alert

Leading the panel, Deborah Peace has more than 25 years in software development to help prevent fraud and increase corporate and consumer confidence in electronic payments. Peace has worked with countless financial institutions and is well-suited to share her perspective on how community financial institutions can enhance the capabilities of their digital banking offerings with actionable fraud prevention tools.

“While online banking systems offer visibility for transactions, they do not allow account holders to take action and protect themselves against suspicious activity,” said Peace. “In today’s digital-first world, there is a critical need for banks and credit unions to empower their customers and members to respond to potentially fraudulent activity before it happens. This can be achieved through an actionable online banking system that enables account holders to take action either through their online banking platform or phone using voice biometrics. As a result, financial institutions can have a competitive edge while minimizing fraud.”
