U.S. unemployment rate hits a 16-year low
The unemployment rate in America is at a 16-year low. In May, the economy added 138,000 jobs and the unemployment rate fell to 4.3%, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. This is a new post-crisis low for the unemployment rate — which is now at its lowest level since May 2001 — while headline job gains missed expectations.
