The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and some of its allies will meet in Vienna on Friday to discuss increasing oil output, and while it is widely expected that they will increase production oil prices should remain high this summer, according to Goldman Sachs. Brent crude oil rallied to about $80 a barrel in the spring amid a tightening market, but pulled back when it seemed apparent that OPEC would intervene. Now, the European oil benchmark is trading around $75 a barrel – but Goldman expects it will peak at $82.50 in the summer and will trade at $75 at yearend.

A disgruntled Tesla Inc. employee broke into the company’s manufacturing operating system and sent highly sensitive data to unknown third parties, according to an email Elon Musk sent to staff. The worker, who had been denied a promotion, did “quite extensive and damaging sabotage” to Tesla’s operations, Musk wrote in the memo late Sunday, which was reported in full by CNBC. Tesla is conducting an in-depth investigation into the matter, including whether the employee was acting alone, with others at the company or with any outside organizations, Musk wrote.
Big Pharma is struggling to keep up with the rest of the market this year as tepid revenue, growth, the expiration of key patents, and the likelihood of the government imposing tighter cost controls hold back its performance prospects. Evercore ISI analyst C.J. Muse raised his price target on Micron Technology Inc. shares to $100 from $80, ahead of the company's Wednesday afternoon earnings report. "While Micron's stock is up a solid ~90% over the last year, we note EPS has actually grown by ~130% meaning Micron's very low multiple has continued to compress - a clear signal of cyclical concerns," Muse wrote in a Saturday note. Micron's stock is down 0.5% in Monday trading but up 41% so far this year.
