Upgrades to Outdoor Alabama Mobile App Deliver Convenience for Times of Low or No Cellular Service

MONTGOMERY, Ala.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, in partnership with Alabama Interactive, recently launched the next version of the Outdoor Alabama mobile app, which includes several upgrades to enhance the user-experience for hunters and anglers in the wild with low or no cellular service. The Outdoor Alabama mobile app provides information on the state’s natural resources and quick access to personalized wildlife services, such as hunting and fishing licenses. The app is also the most convenient way to report your turkey, deer and red snapper harvest. Turkey season opens March 16, 2019 in most of Alabama.

Tailored information includes weather locations and personalized license cards hosted in one concise “My Licenses” section. License cards now display time and date details to ensure users are always able to demonstrate compliance. Users can submit online and offline harvest reporting and have direct access to their field guide. The field guide consists of current rules and regulations, season bag limits organized by species, Wildlife Management Area information and feeding times.

Citizens can join the over 76,000 people that have already downloaded the official mobile app by simply searching “Outdoor AL” in the Google Play or Apple Store or click on the download links below:
