Oil prices fall as U.S. trade dispute with China looms

Brent and WTI crude oil futures dipped on Monday as concerns of a looming trade dispute between the United States and China weighed on global markets. In Asia, Shanghai crude oil futures debuted strongly in terms of volume as investors and commodity merchants bought into the world's newest financial oil trading instrument. The falls came after U.S. President Donald Trump last week signed a memorandum that could impose tariffs on up to $60 billion of imports from China.

Stocks rebound as report of U.S.-China trade talks improves mood

U.S. stock futures led global shares higher on Monday after reports that the United States and China have quietly started negotiations to improve U.S. access to Chinese markets eased fears of a trade war between the two economic giants. E-Mini futures for the S&P 500 leaped more than 1 percent while Japan's Nikkei erased earlier losses of 1.3 percent to end 0.7 percent higher. MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan was up 0.4 percent, flipping back to positive territory from a 0.5 percent fall.

Boeing completes Dreamliner family with first 787-10 delivery

Boeing Co delivered its first 787-10 Dreamliner toSingapore Airlines on Sunday, rounding out a family of lightweight jets on which the U.S. planemaker is betting its future. The ceremonial key to the plane was handed to Singapore Airlines Chief Executive Goh Choon Phong on the tarmac at Boeing's South Carolina plant, where the carbon composite jet is built, in front of more than a thousand Boeing workers and guests. Boeing Chief Executive Keith McAllister hailed the two airlines' 45-year relationship.
