Optronics has introduced the UCL41 low-profile, surface mount LED scene light that features a directional lens and optics, allowing it to be aimed where needed.
The UCL41 Series Scene Light uses 12 diodes and advanced optical engineering to focus its optimal beam pattern and is the first in a new style of directional scene lighting from Optronics.
Optronics' UCL41 Series Scene Light is engineered to deliver an intense white LED beam pattern at a 45-degree angle to its mounting position. The lamp enables OEMs, bodybuilders and end users to determine the size and shape of the scene they prefer to illuminate. Mounting the lamp higher creates a larger scene, while mounting it lower creates a smaller scene, and the lamps can be rotated before mounting to deliver light that is oriented to a vehicle's front, rear and sides.
The low-profile surface-mount lamp is simple to install and requires only two mounting fasteners. Once the UCL41 is secured, a black- or chrome-coated plastic bezel snaps into position, giving the lamp a clean finished appearance.
The UCL41 Series Scene Light accommodates both 12- and 24-volt electrical systems and is IP67 rated. The lamp comes complete with a 6-inch hard-wired lead and ground wires and requires only a three-quarter-inch hole for the wire feed. The lamp measures just 8.7 inches in width and 2.95 inches in height. The lamp is 1.59 inches thick when installed, including its mounting plate and bezel. In order to maintain the lamp's low profile, the UCL41's lens is designed with a 15-degree angle, relying on its advanced optical design to enable the lamp to cast its unique 45-degree beam pattern.

Fontaine Fifth Wheel has introduced a top plate designed specifically for severe-duty applications, the Fontaine H7, replacing the H5092 and X5092 Series.
The Fontaine H7 is rated up to 70,000 pounds vertical load, a drawbar pull rating up to 200,000 pounds and has the option of being blocked (no-tilt) from the factory. The H7 is suited for logging, heavy haul, oil field, mining and other severe-duty applications.
Like the 7000 Series, the H7 features a cast steel housing and the Fontaine No-Slack locking system with a trigger-activated self-adjusting locking mechanism. The fifth wheel lock self-adjusts in order to accommodate for wear and for variations in kingpin geometry.
It is designed to give drivers get a snug, secure connection as they move from trailer to trailer. The design also reduces shock inputs into the frame when braking and accelerating, leading to a smoother ride and longer-lasting components for lower maintenance costs.
