NVIDIA, PACCAR collaborate on autonomous tech

BERLIN, GERMANY – Computer hardware and software developer, NVIDIA, has announced it is collaborating with PACCAR to produce technology for autonomous trucks.

With the help of NVIDIA’s DRIVE PX 2 AI technology, PACCAR has produced a proof-of-concept self-driving truck.

According to NVIDIA, the technology is trained on deep neural networks and has SAE level 4 capability. SAE level 4 is ranked by SAE International as being “high automation”, and is the second highest level of automation next to “full automation”.
