Cargo thefts drop 15% in Q2: CargoNet

JERSEY CITY, NJ — CargoNet’s command centre logged 192 incidents of cargo theft worth an estimated $39 million in the second quarter of 2016.

The cargo theft total is down 15% over the same period in 2015.

In all, CargoNet announced that it had 297 reports of cargo theft, identity theft, vehicle theft, and other criminal intelligence matters relating to the U.S.-Canada supply chain for the second quarter.
